In our next episode of the Energy Connects podcast, Chiranjib Sengupta sat down with Anne-Sophie Corbeau, Global Research Scholar at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, to discuss the current spate of growth in the global LNG industry and how it is working towards a more sustainable and resilient value chain.
Highlighting recent bullish statements on the global LNG capacity outlook, Anne-Sophie explained why the industry needs to move faster on low-carbon LNG, and underscored the importance of EU’s new methane emissions regulations on new and existing LNG contracts. She also spoke about the ways to incentivise offtake for the hydrogen sector and why low-carbon ammonia from natural gas is increasingly in demand.
