SLB is decarbonising the well construction process

In an exclusive studio interview from ADIPEC 2023, Julian Walker spoke to Saurabh Kapoor, Global Product Champion Cementing at SLB, about how the company was looking to decarbonise the well construction process through its EcoShield geopolymer cement-free system. Saurabh explained how EcoShield was a far more sustainable technology that can eliminate up to 85 percent of embodied CO2 emissions compared with conventional cement systems. He also touched on why this technology is a great example of SLB accelerating decarbonsation through innovation and science.
