Digitalisation plays crucial role in optimising energy costs and emissions
Dec 06, 2024 by Energy ConnectsIn an exclusive studio interview at ADIPEC 2024, Chiranjib Sengupta sat down with Rajesh Puri, Vice President, Sales and Jean-Christophe Vasseur, Regional Sales Director, EMEA at Sensia, to discuss the crucial role of digitalisation in helping operators produce more energy, at lower cost and with less emissions. Highlighting Sensia’s track record of helping oil and gas companies overcome the challenges when trying to digitalise their operations, they explained why integrating new digital technologies with existing legacy systems is complex, as is the task of standardising data across multiple platforms. They also spoke about the need for a gradual transition from the digitalisation of a single asset to the automation of entire production operations.
