The IEA’s outlook on India as the world’s biggest oil demand growth driver

In an exclusive studio interview at India Energy Week 2024, Chiranjib Sengupta spoke to Keisuke Sadamori, Director of Energy Markets and Security at the International Energy Agency, soon after the launch of the IEA’s Indian Oil Market 2030 report. With India poised to be the world's biggest oil demand growth driver through 2030, Keisuke shared some of the report’s top findings and underscored the vital role played by India’s oil sector in the energy transition pathways of the future. He also touched upon the need for sustained investments in clean energy and how India Energy Week brings the entire global energy ecosystem together.
