Setting the pace in decarbonising steel production
Jun 03, 2024 by Energy Connects
In an exclusive interview ahead of the Global Energy Transition Congress & Exhibition in Milan in July, Energy Connects spoke to Andrew Purvis, Director Sustainable Manufacturing at World Steel Association, on the way forward for decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors such as steel. Andrew elaborates on how the World Steel Association is leading the charge in decarbonising the steel industry, and the challenges and opportunities arising out of energy transition. He also highlights the critical role of carbon capture and allied technologies as enablers of the transition, and shares his thoughts on the GET Congress and Exhibition as a unique international forum for converting low-carbon commitments into action.
