Chevron helping drive Egypt’s journey to become Africa’s energy powerhouse

In an exclusive studio interview at EGYPES 2024, Chiranjib Sengupta sat down with Clay Neff, President of Chevron International Exploration & Production, to discuss the US multinational’s 87-year legacy in Egypt and how it is contributing to a low-carbon future for Africa. Clay touched on the factors that make Egypt a favourable place for Chevron, including the business climate and government support, and the company’s aspirations for the future and its growth trajectory in the country.
Highlighting key milestones and achievements of Chevron's business in Egypt, Clay outlined the company’s growing presence in all sectors of the value chain: upstream, midstream and downstream. He also shard the progress in tapping significant new gas discoveries at the Nargis Offshore Area Concession, and explained why EGYPES 2024 was at the heart of driving the energy ecosystem of the future in the Eastern Mediterranean and Africa.
