Sarawak Energy aims to become the renewable powerhouse of ASEAN

In an exclusive studio interview from Future Energy Asia Exhibition & Summit 2024, Chiranjib Sengupta sat down with James Ung, Group Chief Operating Officer, Sarawak Energy, to discuss the Malaysian energy developer’s roadmap to drive the clean energy transition in Asia. Outlining his thoughts on the energy mix of the future in Asia and why renewable and affordable electricity will be a crucial part of that, James highlighted how Sarawak Energy is progressing towards its goal of becoming the renewable energy powerhouse of ASEAN. He also touched on Sarawak Energy’s recent projects and accomplishments as Malaysia’s largest renewable energy developer and producer, and discussed the reasons why Future Energy Asia 2024 is a catalyst for a low-carbon future across Asia and beyond.
