Advancing a sustainable energy future with MENA Terminals

In an exclusive studio interview at ADIPEC 2024, Paul Duncan, Technical Director at MENA Terminals – part of the global energy trader and energy services provider Mercantile & Maritime Group – delves into the world of biofuel facility development, its expected impact on the industry, and how MENA Terminals is at the forefront of the sector. Providing an overview of the company and its regional significance, Duncan spoke about the MENA Terminals facility in Fujairah with a biofuels processing plant that is scheduled to produce up to 150 million litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) annually once operational, representing nearly 10 per cent of current global SAF production. Duncan also touched on the project’s alignment with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Initiative, and how it will support a sustainable energy future for the aviation industry.
