IRENA's DG on accelerating global renewable energy to meet 2030 targets

In an exclusive studio interview at World Utilites Congress 2024, Francesco La Camera, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), outlined the organisation’s efforts to support nations—especially developing ones—in their energy transition. La Camera also addressed key barriers to limiting global warming to 1.5°C and the role of decentralised renewable energy projects, such as those in India, in scaling solutions across regions like Africa.
